Answers to the questions we hear most about KeepUp – what it is, how it protects your money and your data, and how to get started. For the full detail, see our Security page and Privacy Policy.
KeepUp is a personal net worth tracker and ranking platform. It brings your bank, brokerage, and crypto accounts – across currencies and countries – into one live view of your complete net worth, and shows you where that number ranks by country and percentile.
You connect your financial accounts read-only, or add assets by hand. KeepUp reads your balances and holdings, converts everything into a single display currency, and tracks your net worth over time. It covers cash, equities, bonds, real estate, cryptocurrencies, commodities, private shares, and collectibles.
KeepUp is free to use. As a thank-you to our earliest supporters, the first 1,000 members become Founding Members and keep unlimited account connections – to any bank, brokerage, or crypto exchange – free, for life.
No. Every account connection is read-only. KeepUp has no transfer button, no payment rail, and no trading integration – it cannot move, send, or trade a cent. Even if a KeepUp account were compromised, an attacker still could not move money, because KeepUp itself can't.
No – your bank logins never touch KeepUp. Account connections run through Plaid, the same connectivity infrastructure used by Venmo and American Express, and you sign in on your bank's own page. Your username and password go to your bank, never to KeepUp, so we have no way to see or store them. See our Security page for the full detail.
Your money stays out of reach. KeepUp never sees or stores your bank login, so there are no credentials to steal. And account connections are encrypted and strictly read-only: in the worst case, an attacker could see numbers, never touch them. No transfers, no withdrawals, no trades. See our Security page for how connections are protected.
KeepUp connects banks, brokerages, and crypto exchanges, and you can add any other asset – real estate, private investments, collectibles – by hand. It is available to residents of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and across the EU and EEA.
KeepUp shows where your net worth falls by country and by percentile, based on published wealth-distribution data – you can explore the net worth percentiles by country. There is also an opt-in leaderboard where you can compare with others under a username you choose. It is entirely optional – you stay private unless you opt in.
